# Signal Jam — Terms of Service (v1)

## 1. Who Can Use Signal Jam

Signal Jam is an entertainment product for adults. You must be **21 years
of age or older** to use it. When you create an account, you confirm your
age. We record that confirmation (date, time, IP address, user agent) and
retain it for legal defensibility.

## 2. Your Account

You need an email address to play. Sign-in is via magic link. You're
responsible for keeping your email account secure. If you share your magic
link, whoever uses it is using your account.

## 3. Prizes Are Not Our Business

Bars ("venues") may offer their own prizes at their own discretion. Signal
Jam and AEGITz do not track, award, fund, or manage prizes. We are not
responsible for any prize dispute, tax obligation, or representation made
by a venue. If the venue stiffs you, take it up with the venue.

## 4. Content

Signal Jam displays AI-generated content (questions, host banter, shareable
post-game cards). AI-generated content is labeled with the host voice's
personality and reviewed by AEGITz staff before it goes live in a venue.
Despite review, AI content may occasionally be wrong, weird, or
unintentionally offensive. You agree to flag problems via the in-game flag
button; we review flags within 48 business hours.

## 5. Venue Content

Venues submit branding (logos, specials, custom round flavor). Venues are
solely responsible for ensuring they have the rights to anything they
upload. We moderate user-facing venue content before it runs.

## 6. Acceptable Use

Don't use Signal Jam to harass, defame, threaten, impersonate, cheat,
scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with other players. We reserve the
right to suspend or terminate any account at our discretion.

## 7. Service Availability

We aim for high uptime but make no guarantees. Games may be disrupted by
network, power, or our own mistakes. We are not liable for disrupted games.

## 8. Intellectual Property

Signal Jam, the "SJ" wordmark, and all host voice recordings are owned by
AEGITz. You get a personal, non-commercial license to play. Share cards we
generate for you can be shared freely; you keep the license to your
display name and any avatar you upload.

## 9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Signal Jam is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent
permitted by Arizona law, we disclaim all warranties, express and implied.

## 10. Limitation of Liability

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim is capped at the greater
of **$100** or the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the
claim (typically $0 — Signal Jam is free for players).

## 11. Auto-Generated Content

You acknowledge that Signal Jam generates custom rounds, trivia questions,
host banter, player-performance roasts, meta moments, and share cards
automatically using AI. By playing, you grant AEGITz a non-exclusive,
royalty-free license to display auto-generated artifacts tied to your
gameplay (including share cards featuring your display name and rank)
across Signal Jam's surfaces and marketing channels. You can opt out of
marketing use by disabling streamer mode in your profile.

## 12. Ranks, Badges, and Streaks

Ranks, badges, streaks, and any other gamification artifacts are purely
cosmetic. They have no monetary value. We may reset, modify, or retire
them at any time without notice. They cannot be transferred or exchanged.
(Note: "Leagues", a separate forthcoming feature that groups venues into
seasonal competitions, may include prizes and carries its own distinct
terms when that feature ships — this section applies only to the
player-tier "Ranks" system.)

## 13. Arbitration

Any dispute arising out of these Terms will be resolved by **binding
arbitration in Phoenix, Arizona**, governed by Arizona law and the American
Arbitration Association's Commercial Arbitration Rules. You waive the
right to participate in a class action. You may opt out of this clause by
emailing legal@signaljam.app within 30 days of first use.

## 14. Changes

We may update these Terms. We'll post a new version number and update
date. Material changes trigger a fresh consent prompt on next sign-in.
